Alhamdulillah through the Grace of Allah the Scholars scribe 16 day intensive Shariah course held at the Academy was a success. Participants for the course were from UK, Italy, Sweden, and Germany.
The course commenced each day with Zikr Majlis after Fajr conducted by Mufti Zubair Dudha (Hafizahullah), thereafter four hours of intensive learning.
The morning session consisted of Hadith, Fiqh, Aqeedah Tahawiyah and Tafseer of last ten Surahs.
After Asr salãh there was a daily Tasawwuf Majlis by Mufti Zubair (HA).
Evening session had two hours Tajweed and Quran recitation.
Participants had an opportunity of spending 16 days in a spiritual and Deeni environment and also had the opportunity to meet other local Ulama and Deeni institutes.
We request all readers to pray Allah Ta’ãla accept the course and reward those who travelled from far and wide to attend.
The Academy intends to hold this event each year if Allah Ta’ãla wills.
What some of the Participants had to say:
“The transition to swedish conditions is not easy, but alhamdulillah, the course has in a way been a fresh start for me, and I guess for others too. The thing that I will remember the most from the course is maybe not any specific knowledge that I learnt, although there was plenty, but the atmosphere which was so good for the heart and so good for learning. Trying to learn the deen of Islam in the conditions that we find ourselves in the modern world is not easy and most of all I think we lack the calmness required. We have too much things to do, none are really important. I think this calmness and joy I felt is the result of the presence, du´as and dhikr of the pious and I can only hope and pray that I will experience this again.”

“The experience in the Academy for me was something new. I reverted to Islam 1 year ago and until December 2010 I never lived in such a spiritual situation. For the first time I saw a community living following the Sunnah of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) in all aspects of life. In the Academy I understood that Islam is not only about Beliefs and righteous deeds but also moral character and beautiful social conduct. These two part of Islam are really important and through them we can live a better life in harmony with our Ummah, and the unbelievers clearly recognize and love this good character and conduct. I miss a lot the morning dhikr, the lectures and every moment passed at the Academy. I pray Allah will give me the chance to come back in Deswbury and increase my islamic knowledge in the right way.“

“After Allah ta’ala, I am thankful to everyone who made this course such a wonderful experience. I never had such an opportunity before to directly benefit from Shuyukh and Ulama in such an intensive manner. The two-weeks course left me impressed by the pure approach of Islam, that Mufti Zubair Dudha (db) and the teachers conveyed to us. I think the Academy was a very suitable venue and I hope future Scholar Scribes will also take place there. The environment was spiritually uplifting and at the same time free from elements alien to Shariah. There’s so much to say, but I’m afraid the length would go overboard.”

“The experience at the “Scholar’s Scribe” course organized across last December and January is still a sweet thought that all of us keep entertaining in our mind and hearts, both for the inner value of the time spent there and the knowledge therein gained, and also for the huge difference between the situation there and here in our European countries: to even try to compare this is a painful exercise to which we are forcefully driven every time we make our steps into a musalla and have to face daily discussions, problems and frustration due to the widespread ignorance around us.
My most heartfelt gratitude goes to Mufti Zubair Dudha sahab and all the scholars, one by one, each one with his name, who spent their precious time to teach us pearls of knowledge and wisdom, and to all the brothers who exhausted themselves in every kind of khidmah to us, when I’m not even worthy to give khidmah of the youngest children attending the Academy: may Allah reward you all with the highest reward in dunya and akhyrah, amin.
If I may send a message to the brothers in the UK, in Dewsbury, I would say: “Don’t give for granted the blessings that Allah bestowed on you in terms of knowledge resources”. Don’t give for granted your `ulama’, your Mashaykh, your madaris, your masajid, your makatib; your imams, your books…; try your best in giving your scholars their value, in holding them in due consideration and in benefitting from them, attending their lectures and asking their advice.
Often the most neglected favour is the one you have before your eyes, and the favour of `Ilm is indeed a huge one, as well as a disregarded one; maybe for us the fact of coming from countries where you can’t find any proper scholar, alas!, not even people with proper understanding of Deen, helps realizing the worth and value of having scholars at one’s reach.
I truly hope that further occasions of study will be organized at the Islamic Tarbiyah Academy and that this will become a regular appointment for brothers from all across Europe to meet and study together, in order for us not only to increase our knowledge, but also to benefit from your company.
Lastly, I would like to inform you all that this experience gave us the final push to decide to set up an Islamic association in Genoa, Italy, devoted to da’wah to non-Muslims and Muslims alike, firmly adhering, insha’Allah, to the understanding of Din as lied out by our Akabir: I request your du`a’s for its success and asking Allah that He may make of it a means of spreading the proper understanding of our Din in our country.”
